4 out of 5 A fix that might help other buyers

    Success at last.

I was tearing my hair out with this. Mac not even starting with kit installed. Seller advised disassembling and reassembling the kit to help reestablish connections after transit. This helped a little but only gave me (limited) Bluetooth. No Wifi.

Today I disassembled everything again and took more seriously the slight misalignment between the BT/Wifi card and the adapter. The card was bumping up against the (unnecessary in Mac Pro 3,1) additional small L-shaped connector with its twin pins, and couldn’t be straightened further.

To correct this, I removed the unnecessary part. This allowed the card and adapter to align properly.

And bingo! All BT (Handoff, etc) and Wifi (inc ac) features now up and running on early 2008 Mac Pro.

Just in case this helps someone else.

4 out of 5 Awesome, but I didn't have the screw I needed to lock it down... :(

Outstanding device. This has brought my PacPro 2006 2,1 to the new age… My only question and I am also being a beggar, can I get a couple screws to lock the board down to my motherboard? My MacPro 2006 2,1 didn’t have the screws in the first place and I had to “jury-rig” a temporary solution until I can get the proper screws. I have a second MacPro 2006 2,1 which I will be ordering a second board for and will need the second screw for that purpose. Let me know. Thanks again. Great item.
