At first I was a little concerned because I had never heard from the company before but, since I really needed the adapter I decided to give it a shot.
The communication was great: from the purchase, tracking, support and troubleshooting.
The card was exactly what I needed and expected. Isn’t that what you want from an adapter: so that it JUST WORKS? Thanks!

4 out of 5 Easy to do, Works well, needs additional bluetooth antenna to work

    glawrie

This is an easy to do upgrade, and works well.

I found the instructions about antenna on this site (and elsewhere) confusing. For bluetooth to work after the upgrade, you need to have either an extension cable or a new bluetooth antenna – so I’m not sure why the kit does not include one or other of these elements.

I used the “”Wireless Internal Antenna”” option, and it is fine, but results in a loose cable running about inside the Mac Pro case. It is probably neater to get the “”Bluetooth Antenna Extension Cable”” and re-use the built-in blue-tooth antenna.

I’ve put some photos of my installation on Flickr – here: https://flic.kr/s/aHsk8aFxwE

Just finished installing this, I’m totally impressed. Very clear instructions, easy to install, and worked right out of the gate. I had never worked with the kind of connectors the antenna wires use. Didn’t realize they just snap off and on. Highly recommended product. Shipped fast, works great.

5 out of 5 Great upgrade for any Mac Pro

    Puck

I had been looking for this kit for some time. Supply from other providers was really fickle. I upgraded all 3 Mac Pros to take advantage of the improved synchronization with iOS devices and give me a bit more speed throughout the home wifi network. I had a small issue with the quality of the male U.FL connection on the Bluetooth extension cable, which you definitely need, but OSXWiFi was quick to replace all 3 extensions.

5 out of 5 Mac pro 5.1 is still alive

    manuel

My mac pro 5.1 (2010) returns to “social life”, today came to Spain the wifi/bluetooth card (only 6 days and at Christmas, congratulations !!), perfectly packed is installed in less than 30 minutes without problems, from today a/c wifi networks and bluetooth 4.0 (Continuity with Hangoff, etc …) running at the top with others.
Really amazing, thanks Osxwifi.com, excellent card and service.

  12. Tim

5 out of 5 My God these cable connectors are small!

    Tim

This is amazing. Works as advertised. Make sure you get the coax cable for the bluetooth. I will say that it is a challenge to install because of the size of the coax connectors. You may need to find someone with really good hands and eyes. I installed it mainly by feel.
The instructions do not explain very well that one RF connect might be hidden from view. I suggest that you connect all the RF connects first then install the card. The reason is the card will bend and provide insufficient resistance to allow you to snap the cable in place.
